Have an Image Uploaded for You:

Keep in mind, even if it’s not your favorite image, you can always upload another one later. Images really make a difference to the YackPack experience.

Upload (Suggest) an Image for Somebody Else:
You can also suggest a photo for anybody in your group who has not yet uploaded a photo (you’ll see their smiley icon instead). When you suggest an image for somebody else you will see the image you suggested for them in YackPack until they remove it or upload their own. Nobody else will see the image you have suggested until the person for whom it was suggested has logged in and approved it. To suggest an image for somebody, click on the circular, blue info button on their picture. At the top of the information box, click the “Suggest Image” button.

How do I take a photo that works well for YackPack?
The most important thing is to find a photo you like that represents you well….but here are some basic tips on getting an image that generally works well in YackPack:

Generally “headshots” work best for YackPack.

Make sure that the background behind you is plain and uncluttered. A simple white (or light colored) wall makes an excellent background.

Have the photographer stand close enough to you that your head fills most of the frame. But make sure that the top of your head is not cut off.

If you are not using a flash, check that the light is bright enough to show your face clearly but not so bright that there are very dark shadows or that you are squinting. If the picture is being taken outdoors, pictures taken on cloudy days or in open shade is generally for people pictures. If you are indoors, tanding near a window or open door often provides good light.

If you are using a flash, pictures that are taken from about 5-8 feet typically produce the best lighting. If the camera you are using has a zoom lens, the photographer can use it to get a close up of your face.
