Where do I find my PPID to embed my pack in a web page?

The PPID number is a unique identifying number for a pack in YackPack. You may want to find this number if you are trying to embed your pack in a webpage.

When you first created a YackCasting pack, you were sent an email entitled “Instructions for publishing your YackCasting pack.” In that email was the URL for the public facing URL for your pack. The PPID is at the end of that URL. For example, it would look something like this:

http://www.yackpack.net/yackpack/index.jsp?ppid=9999

In this pack the PPID is 9999.

If you no longer have the email that was sent to you with your YackCast instructions, there is another way to get your PPID. Go to www.yackpack.net and login to your YackCasting pack. Then click on your own little, round, blue "info" button. Then click the pack administration button.

In the pop-up that opens you'll see the connect link for your pack, which should also show the PPID as part of the connect link URL. Just look for the PPID= and the number following that is your PPID. A connect link looks something like this:

http://www.yackpack.net/yackpack//index.jsp?ppid=9999&join=9999

If you created a private pack and are looking to embed a pack, you will not have an obvious PPID. You will need to follow the instructions for embedding the YackPack login screen on your website instead.
