Email Notifications in YackPack
YackPack uses email for several purposes. The primary use is to validate who you say you are when you first sign up and register for an account. It’s used as a safety measure. The next most common type of email is a new message notification. When you sign up with YackPack you decide whether or not you want to receive these email notifications. You can always change your preference if you’d rather not receive them (click on your own blue “info” button, then click “edit settings”).

You will also receive an email if you are invited to a new pack or if you join a public YackCasting pack. One other type of email is a removal notification which you may receive if an administrator has removed you from a pack.

YackPack uses email to comply with our COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act) policy, requiring a parent/guardian to authorize or deny a child’s participation in YackPack.

You may also receive emails from the YackPack team from time to time letting you know about new features and updates.

Set Your Email Notification Preferences:
You can change your preference to receive or not receive emails at any time. To do this, log in to YackPack and click the circular, blue info button on your picture. On the information box click the “Edit Settings” button. Your account settings screen will pop up allowing you to deselect the checkboxes for receiving notification emails and emails from YackPack. You will also see a link at the bottom of the emails sent to you which will allow you to go directly to a web page to change your preferences.
