Arrange the People in a Pack

One of the interesting things about the YackPack interface is that it is meant to reflect your relationships with people. That means that you are always in the center of your own universe – the center of the YackCircle. YackPack is not an Org. chart.

It also means that you can arrange the people in any of your packs in any way you want (and nobody else in the pack will know how you’ve arranged them – don’t worry). The closer in you drag them, the bigger the avatars will get. The further out in the circle you drag them, the smaller they will get. You can group people and put them at different ring levels…whatever makes the most sense to you.

If you have a lot of people on the outer edges of your circle, you can roll over them to pop up a bigger image and read their name more clearly. In big packs this can be very handy.

Elaine is in the center of her YackCircle. Her students are placed around her. The closer in they are, the bigger they show up. The further out in the circle they are, the smaller they appear. She can rearrange them at any time.
