Adding Text to Your Message

YackPack is great for sending voice messages and talking in real time. You can also send text only messages and enhance your voice messages by adding text.

When you create a message you’ll see two text areas on the recording tab – one for a subject and one for message text. If you want to send a text only message, just select your recipient(s), enter the text in the message area, add a subject if you want, then click send. You’ll see that as soon as you enter text in the subject area, the send button lights up and is enabled. Sometimes this is the quickest way to get a message to somebody, especially if you know they are online.

You can also add text to your voice messages. Adding a subject line can be very useful for finding a particular message in the archive. You can also include message text which might summarize the voice message or give a URL for somebody to copy and paste. Any text you enter – a subject line and/or message text will be received in the email notification by your recipients. That means it can also be a good way to encourage them to login and listen to your message.
